Terms of Service
Shiruya - Terms of Service Last updated: August 22, 2026
1. Acceptance
By creating an account, accessing, or using Shiruya, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use Shiruya.
2. What Shiruya is
Shiruya is a digital notebook for writing notes, journaling, organizing pages, and keeping personal content in a local-first experience.
Shiruya is operated by Ali Calimli.
3. Accounts and sign-in
Some parts of Shiruya may require an account. You are responsible for:
- Providing accurate account information
- Keeping your login credentials and connected sign-in methods secure
- All activity that occurs under your account
If you use a third-party sign-in method or OAuth provider, your use of that provider is also governed by its own terms and privacy policy.
4. Local-first storage
Shiruya is designed so that your notebook content stays primarily on your device.
That also means you are responsible for your own device environment, including protecting access to your device, browser profile, and any local data stored there. If you clear browser storage, lose your device, or use an insecure device, you may lose access to locally stored content.
We are not responsible for data loss caused by device issues, deleted local storage, browser resets, third-party extensions, or unauthorized access to your device.
5. Your content
You keep ownership of the notes, pages, journal entries, and other content you create in Shiruya.
By using Shiruya, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to process the minimal account-related information needed to operate the service, authenticate you, and provide the app to you.
We do not claim ownership of your notebook content.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use Shiruya for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users’ accounts or data
- Interfere with, disrupt, scrape, probe, or abuse the service or its infrastructure
- Use Shiruya to distribute malicious code, spam, or harmful material
- Misuse authentication flows, rate limits, or access controls
We may suspend or terminate access to Shiruya if you violate these terms or use the service in a way that creates legal, technical, or security risk.
7. Pricing and early access
Shiruya is intended to become a paid product.
Users who gain access before the paywall is introduced may receive lifetime access to the version of Shiruya and core access level available to them at the time of that early access offer, without recurring subscription charges.
This early access promise does not guarantee:
- That every future feature, add-on, or premium tier will be included for free
- That Shiruya will be available forever without interruption
- That we will never change pricing for new users or new plans
If paid plans are introduced, pricing and plan details will be presented clearly before purchase.
8. Availability and changes
Shiruya may evolve over time. We may add, remove, improve, pause, or discontinue features at any time.
We aim to keep the service available and useful, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, error-free performance, or permanent support for any specific feature.
9. Termination
You may stop using Shiruya at any time.
We may suspend or terminate your access if:
- You violate these terms
- We reasonably believe your use creates risk or harm to Shiruya, other users, or third parties
- We need to comply with legal obligations or security requirements
For account or deletion requests, contact alicalimli76@gmail.com.
10. No warranty
Shiruya is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, availability, or accuracy.
We do not guarantee that Shiruya will always be secure, available, or free from bugs or data loss.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Ali Calimli and Shiruya will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from or related to your use of the service.
This includes, without limitation, loss of data, loss of access to locally stored content, service interruptions, account issues caused by third-party providers, or losses resulting from unauthorized access to your device or account.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Turkey. Any disputes arising from or related to these terms or your use of Shiruya will be handled under Turkish jurisdiction.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. If we do, we will update the “Last updated” date above. Continued use of Shiruya after changes become effective means you accept the updated terms.
14. Contact
If you have questions about these terms, contact alicalimli76@gmail.com.
